3 DUI Arrests in St. Marys this Weekend


On 12/10/05 at approximately 0130 hours, Deputy Shawn L. Moses initiated a traffic stop in Lexington Park. Deputy Moses identified the driver as Brandon J. Miller, age 23 of Hollywood. Deputy Moses detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the breath of Mr. Miller. Mr. Miller failed to satisfactorily complete field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol.

On 12/10/05 at approximately 0200 hours, Deputy William J. Rishel responded to the scene of an accident on St. Andrews Lane in California. The investigation revealed that Harmony Leaih Hayes, age 20 of Glenn Burnie, was operating a vehicle on St. Andrews Lane when she struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle. While conducting the accident investigation, Deputy Rishel detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the breath of Ms. Hayes. Ms. Hayes failed to satisfactorily complete field sobriety tests and it was also determined that Ms. Hayes' driver's license was currently suspended. Ms. Hayes was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving While Impaired by Alcohol, and Driving on a Suspended License & Privilege.

On 12/11/05 at approximately 0248 hours, Deputy Angela Muller initiated a traffic stop on Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville. Deputy Muller identified the driver as Phyllis J. Clark, age 40 of Waldorf, MD. Deputy Muller detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the breath of Ms. Clark. Ms. Clark failed to satisfactorily complete field sobriety tests and was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Driving While Impaired by Alcohol.
