Teen Jumps Out Second Story Window to Avoid Police


On Dec. 4 at 3:53 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 5800 block of Hammerhead Court in Waldorf for the report of a burglary. Investigation revealed the resident, a 47-year-old woman, returned home and found the front door open. As officers were searching the residence, Alexandra Jean Lindsey, 18, of no fixed address jumped out of a second story window of the residence. Officers quickly apprehended her. Investigators determined she gained access to the residence through an unlocked window.

Lindsey was charged with first degree burglary and trespassing. Officer D. Suave investigated.
