Charles MDSP Reports Four Drug Violations for Last Week


11/11/05 3:48 p.m. A vehicle was stopped on MD Rt. 228 at Festival Way for a traffic violation. Upon contact with the driver, Antoine Lenard Robinson, 26 years, of Fort Washington, an odor of burnt marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Robinson was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. Tpr. C. Stevenson conducted this investigation.

11/18/05 10:30 a.m. A vehicle traveling northbound on MD Rt. 5, north of St. Charles Parkway, was stopped for the driver not wearing his seat belt. A computer check revealed the driver, Tarrek Kareem Spooner, 28 years, of Oxon Hill, was driving on a suspended license. Mr. Spooner was arrested and a search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a switchblade knife. Mr. Spooner was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a concealed deadly weapon. He was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. TFC J. Edelen conducted this investigation.

11/19/05 12:32 a.m. TFC M. Cox observed a disabled vehicle on MD Rt. 228 at Sun Valley Drive. The driver, Aaron Bernard Payton, 36 years, of Clinton, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Payton was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review.

11/21/05 1:39 a.m. A vehicle traveling southbound on U.S. Rt. 301, north of St. Patrick's Drive, was stopped for speeding. The driver, Jason Alex Gargac, 28 years, of La Plata, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. A search incident to arrest revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Gargac was incarcerated in the Charles County Detention Center pending a bond review. TFC R.
