On Nov. 19 at 12:29 a.m., Cpl. W. Wathen observed a vehicle stopped in a traffic lane on Pomfret Road near Livingston Road in Indian Head.
The vehicle was facing east in the westbound lane. The driver of the vehicle then backed the vehicle into a ditch. Cpl. Wathen approached the driver, who was found to be in possession of crack cocaine.
The driver was identified as Bert Marvin Carroll, Jr., 21, of Nanjemoy and was charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, driving without a license and unregistered motor vehicle.
He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
