On Nov. 18 at approximately 12:25 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers discovered a suspicious vehicle at the Cheney Ballfield on Substation Road in Waldorf.
Officer spoke with the four occupants and located a BB gun, BBs and CO2 cartridges inside the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were identified and officers sent them on their way.
Later in the morning, the Sheriff's Office began receiving numerous calls from residents of Pinefield in Waldorf who said the windows had been shot out of their vehicles. Officers discovered more than 20 vehicles had been vandalized. Officers located the occupants of the vehicle they dealt with earlier and through their investigation determined three of the occupants of the car were involved in the destruction of property incident.
Charges are pending against the individuals, who are identified as a 16-year-old Hughesville boy and a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man, both of Waldorf. Officer D. Walker is investigating.
