On Nov. 7 shortly after 5 p.m., a salesperson was showing two customers a 2006 black Dodge Charger at Waldorf Dodge at 2420 Crain Highway in Waldorf. After the salesperson put the key in the ignition, the customers lured the salesperson to the rear of the vehicle. A third person then ran from nearby, jumped into the driver's seat and drove the car at a high rate of speed onto northbound Crain Highway and is believed to have fled into Prince George's County. The business attempted to detain the two customers, but one of them fled in the vehicle he arrived in.
Police responded and questioned the remaining suspect, a Prince George's County man, but that suspect has not been charged. The other suspect has tentatively been identified as a Prince George's County man. The suspect who fled in the Charger is described as a black male in his early 20s with a thin build. The Sheriff's Office's forensic artist has provided a sketch of the suspect. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-609-6502.
