Child Support Sweep 2005

In the month of October 2005, letters were mailed out to people with outstanding child support warrants. The letter advises them that they have an active warrant and the matter needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. The Calvert County Sheriff’s Office is giving them the option of turning themselves in during the week of November 7 through November 10, 2005. Those who choose not to turn themselves in will be subject to arrest and brought before the court at the courts’ convenience. Anyone having information on the whereabouts of the five most wanted or any other dead-beat dad, please contact the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office at 410-535-2800 and ask for the Warrant Unit. All calls will remain anonymous.

Quote from Sheriff Mike Evans, “This will be an intense sweep, the Warrant Unit works very hard throughout the year with apprehending wanted subjects. The holiday season is approaching quickly and we need to help with the surrender or capture of those who owe money for their children. I am dedicated to this sweep and I will put as many officers out there to assist to make this sweep as successful as years in the past.”
