Burglary at St. Charles Towne Center

Sometime between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 2 and 8 a.m. Nov. 3, suspect(s) entered St. Charles Towne Center at 11110 Mall Circle in Waldorf through an unlocked door. Once inside the mall, the suspect(s) forced entry into Gold USA Inc., stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry and fled the scene.

Although the store was closed at the time of the theft, investigators believe the theft may have occurred before the mall closed Nov. 2 or before businesses inside opened Nov. 3.

Witnesses observed four suspicious persons described only as black males operating a silver passenger car with Virginia tags JXT5466 in the mall parking lot the morning of Nov. 3. Investigators have determined the tags are issued to a van, not a passenger car.

They are seeking additional information about these individuals. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-609-6508. Det. J. Hebb is investigating.
