Shoplifter Pulls Knife on Wal-Mart Employee


On Oct. 28 at 6:07 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Wal-Mart at 11930 Acton Lane in Waldorf for the theft report.

Investigation revealed a loss prevention officer stopped a man for shoplifting, the man assaulted the loss prevention officer with a knife and fled in an older model Chrysler. The vehicle description was broadcast and officers responding located the vehicle traveling north on Crain Highway near Mattawoman Beantown Road. Officer Y. Austin attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle but the driver did not stop and fled into Prince George's County.

The man is only described as a black male.
