Drugs Found in Traffic Stop


On 10-24, 12:40 AM, Broomes Island Rd., Port Republic, MD, TFC Bevard stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

Upon contact with the occupants, TFC Bevard observed CDS paraphernalia in plain view. A search was conducted and suspected cocaine and additional CDS paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. Arrested at that time were John Richard Elliott, 53, of Broomes Island, and Maureen Catherine Morrison, 40, of St. Leonard.

Both were charged with possession of cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. After processing, they were incarcerated in the CCDC to await a commissioner's hearing. TFC Bevard was assisted at the scene by TPR Dawson.
