On Oct. 26 at 5 a.m., Officer R. Kimble, observed two suspicious men outside WaWa at 11505 Berry Road in Waldorf.
One of the men initially provided a false identity but was later identified as Brian Anthony Gant, 22, of Accokeek. Gant was found to be wanted by the Prince George's County Police Department for a probation violation.
Gant attempted to flee from responding officers. He punched one of the officers but officers apprehended and arrested him.
The other man was identified as Donte Lamont Kearney, 19, of Camp Springs and a search revealed he was in possession of a handgun and PCP. He was subsequently arrested.
Gant was charged with assault on a police officer, second degree assault, failure to obey a lawful order and resisting arrest. Kearney was charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP, possession of PCP, carrying a firearm while drug trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a handgun.
They are being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
