Waldorf Man Arrested for Vehicle Theft


10/2/05 - A vehicle traveling southbound on MD Rt. 5, south of Chaney Place, was stopped for the front headlight being out.

A computer check of the driver, Tracy Evans Hemsley, 39 years, of Waldorf, revealed Mr. Hemsley was wanted through the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department for failure to pay child support. A check of the tags displayed on the vehicle revealed the tags were reported stolen through the Prince George's County Police Department. Mr. Hemsley was arrested and charged with theft. After being processed, he was turned over to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Department.
