On Oct. 8 at 11:16 p.m., Officer P. McPherson responded to a residence in the 4700 block of Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for the report of shots fired.
Investigation revealed Wayne Anthony Brown, Jr., 26, of Waldorf was involved in a physical altercation with a family member and a friend separated them. Brown then asked three acquaintances at the house to leave. As the three people were exiting the driveway in their vehicle, Brown exited the house with a shotgun and fired a shot in the direction of the vehicle.
Brown was charged with first degree assault and reckless endangerment. No one was injured. Brown was released from the Charles County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
