On Oct. 9 at 4:59 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Ashford Lane near Hallmark Lane in Waldorf for the report of a robbery. Investigation revealed the victims, two Waldorf boys, ages 15 and 16, were walking on Ashford Lane when two male suspects approached them and demanded a cigarette. When the boys said they did not have cigarettes, the suspects demanded the iPod one of the victims was carrying. When the victims did not comply, the suspects assaulted the victims, stole a cell phone belonging to one of the victims and fled the scene.
Officers searched the area and located the suspects walking on Berry Road near Middletown Road in Waldorf. The suspects were identified as Juelz Roberto Sanchez, 18, and a 17-year-old boy, both of Waldorf. They were charged with second degree assault and robbery and released.
A third suspect is believed to have been a lookout for the other suspects but he has not been charged. Officer M. Thompson is investigating.
