Local Kennel Raises Money For Calvert Animal Welfare League. And Katrina /Rita Pets


Calvert Animal Welfare League is holding their annual pet walk at Annmarie Garden in Solomons on Sunday October 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM--3:00 PM, Interlude Kennel will have a booth set up and will be offering a ticket to be drawn with a minimum $10.00 donation to CAWL, the winning ticket will be worth 5 (Five) days of boarding. If you donate $100.00 you get 10 chances to win and so forth, 100% of the proceeds go to CAWL. The drawing will be held after 3PM Sunday October 23. You do not need to be present to win and you may purchase tickets anytime before the event at the Interlude office, remember your donations are tax deductible.

Additionally, Interlude Kennel is working with the ABKA (The American Boarding Kennel Association) to help the animals in the wake of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, ABKA has established an Emergency Relief Fund to provide a way for its members and concerned individuals to make contributions to support pets, pet care providers, and pet rescue organizations during times of emergency or disaster such as Hurricane Katrina. Contributions go to support the people who are sacrificing so much to help pets in trouble, to help rebuild those pet care facilities that have lost so much, and to help the pet rescue organizations do their work. Donations can be made at the Interlude office, mail-in or at the pet walk, more information will be available on our web site soon.
