PAXRVR Awards $191M+ in Contracts & Mods


L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $73,600,000 estimated value modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-00-D-0179) for contractor logistics support services for approximately 280 T-34 aircraft, 54 T-44 aircraft, and 46 T-6 aircraft. Work will be performed in Whiting Field, Fla. (60 percent); Corpus Christi, Texas (25 percent); and Pensacola, Fla. (15 percent); and, and is expected to be completed in June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $51,862,140 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable, indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-04-D-0131) to exercise an option for contractor logistics support services for approximately 17 T-2s, 21 T-39s, and 3 H-3s aircraft. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Fla. (99 percent) and Corpus Christi, Texas (1 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Miss., is being awarded a $51,092,426 estimated value modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price, cost-reimbursable requirements contract (N00019-00-D-0272) to exercise an option for the aircraft maintenance and logistical life cycle support for 52 Navy and 11 Marine Corps C-12 aircraft. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Station (NAS), Corpus Christi, Texas (37 percent); NAS North Island, Calif. (8 percent); Naval Air Facility (NAF) Andrews, Md. (6 percent); Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md. (6 percent); Naval Support Activity, Bahrain (5 percent); NAS Norfolk, Va. (5 percent); NAF Atsugi, Japan (5 percent); NAS Gitmo Bay, Cuba (3 percent); NAF Kadena, Japan (3 percent); Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, N.C. (3 percent); MCAS Yuma, Ariz. (3 percent); NAS New Orleans, La. (3 percent); MCAS Futenma, Japan (3 percent); MCAS Iwakuni, Japan (3 percent); NAS Willow Grove, Pa. (2 percent); NAS Dallas, Texas (1 percent); NAS Atlanta, Ga. Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Hurst, Texas, is being awarded an $8,908,563 estimated value modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-award/incentive-fee contract (N00019-96-C-0128) for component fatigue testing associated with the H-1 Upgrade Program Engineering and Manufacturing and Development effort. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed in December 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $2,301,965 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

World Wide Technology,* Maryland Heights, Mo., is being awarded a $5,775,548 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of servers for the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning Production Center including 21 SUN Microsystems servers; 1 SUN Microsystems 25K Domain; 1 SUN Microsystems V890; 15 SUN M V490; 2 SUN V240; and 2 SUN Microsystems E6990. In addition, this contract provides for software licenses, hardware and peripherals for each component. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md., and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured through the Scientific and Engineering Workstation Procurement (SEWP III); eight firms were solicited and one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-05-F-0568).
