Robbery at Myers Shell in Waldorf


On Sept. 26 at 6:56 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Myers Shell and Auto Service at 3185 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for a hold-up alarm. Investigation revealed a man entered the attendant's booth while it was unoccupied and stole the cash drawer. As the man began to flee, he struck the booth attendant. Two other employees tried to stop the man but he assaulted the employees and fled. A K9 team conducted a track but did not locate the suspect. Two of the employees were injured and transported to Southern Maryland Hospital Center for treatment. The suspect is described as a white male in his late 30s or early 40s. He is 6 feet tall, weighs between 200 and 215 pounds and has a medium build. He is bald and was wearing a cut-off gray or white T-shirt. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-609-6515. Det. J. Elliot is investigating.
