Shots Fired in Waldorf


On Sept. 24 at 8:58 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the 600 block of Post Office Road in Waldorf for the report of the sound of gunshots. Upon arrival, Officer J. Burroughs found Kevin Daniel Kiley, 25, of Waldorf, and Kiley's wife in a parking lot. They reported hearing gunshots in the area of the St. Charles lake but could not provide further information. Further investigation revealed Kiley was in possession of a handgun and he fired the gun during an argument with his wife. Officer Burroughs arrested Kiley and charged him with possessing a concealed deadly weapon, handgun violations and disturbing the public peace. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
