Maurice Gray Arrested for Robbery Spree in Charles


Charles County Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested Maurice Patrick Gray, 20, of Waldorf. Mr Gray was wanted in connection with a spree of local robberies. Detectives have already made six other arrests in the case.

Gray was arrested Sept. 15 and charged with robbery, assault, burglary and other crimes related to the first of three robberies that occurred in August and were connected to the same group of suspects. The robbery occurred Aug. 11. Gray and several others suspects forcibly entered and 18-year-old man's residence in the 10700 block of Esprit Place in White Plains at 1:05 a.m. and brandished a gun. They stole clothing, shoes, video games, cellular phones and money and fled the scene.

Gray is being held at the Charles County Detention Center on a $500,000 bond for armed robbery and a $10,000 bond for burglary.
