NAVAIR Awards $6M to Alliant Integrated Defense Co.

Alliant Integrated Defense Co., LLC, Clearwater, Fla., is being awarded a $6,197,193 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-priced contract (N00019-98-C-0006) to upgrade approximately 1,973 AAR-47 (V)2 Sensors to an AAR-(V)3 configuration. This modification is for the incorporation of the Dynamic Blanking Sensor upgrade engineering change proposal to eliminate Global War on Terrorism assault and assault support aircraft from operating with degraded performance in known threat environments. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Fla., and is expected to be completed in January 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
