Man Arrested for DUI, Allegedly Becomes Combative


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 29, 2005)—The Calvert County Sheriff's Office recently released the following incident and arrest report.

COMBATIVE DUI ARREST: On August 25th, 2005 at 2:04 am, Cpl. Phelps conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Lord Calvert Bowl. Based on observations made during the stop the vehicle operator, Brant M. Fuller, age 21, of Huntingtown, Md. was placed under arrest for DUI. While in Cpl Phelps police vehicle, Fuller began to bang his head on the dashboard and passenger side window. He began making noise as if he was going to vomit. Cpl Phelps pulled to the side of the roadway and removed Fuller from his cruiser. He was transported to the Hospital by ambulance. A struggle ensued at the hospital and Fuller was further restrained. He kicked Deputy Morder while he was being placed into a Sheriff’s Office vehicle for transport to the Detention Center. Once at the Detention Center he remained uncooperative and tried to kick several Correctional Officer. He was charged with DUI, 2nd Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest.
