On Friday, August 12, Rondevous Bar in Leonardtown partnered with Southern Maryland Online to host a Meet and Greet, with proceeds benefiting Hospice of St. Mary's. Over 100 people attended, and $900 was raised to help terminally ill persons and their families in our local area.
Southern Maryland Online (Somd.com) forum members were invited to come "meet the screen names", and an open invitation was extended to all readers. Karaoke was provided by Hart Karaoke and entertainment included Rock'em Sock'em Robots (to settle forum arguments). Several forum members helped tend bar, and all bar tips went to Hospice. Singers paid to participate in karaoke, or nominate someone else to sing, and items from Bozick Distributing and Guy Distributing were auctioned.
