Nicky Oliver, from Avenue (St. Mary's County), won the Miss Maryland Coed Pageant this past weekend. During her reign she will meet the Governor, work with many organizations such as The American Cancer Society, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Lupus Foundation, ARC, and The Heart Association, and attend the Miss America Parade, as well as several modeling and television opportunities, including the Tony Danza Show.
She will compete for the opportunity to become Miss American Coed in November 2005 in Florida. Nicky is a student at the College of Southern Maryland with a GPA of 3.66. She is a volunteer with the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. She will also be filming a TV show with Lou Pearlman in December 2005.
