Two Armed Robberies in Waldorf


On August 3 at 10:42 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Ell Lane in Waldorf for the report of the armed robbery of a citizen. Investigation revealed a 19-year-old woman and three men, ages 19, 24 and 25, all of Waldorf, were in the 12100 block of Ell Lane when three men approached them and initiated a conversation. Shortly thereafter, the suspects brandished guns and ordered the victims to the ground. The suspects demanded money and property from the victims. The victims complied and the suspects fled the scene. The suspects are described as black males. One of the suspects is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 200 pounds and was wearing a blue sleeveless shirt and blue jeans. Another suspect is about 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and was wearing a skullcap. His hair has short dredlocks. On August 3 at 12:36 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's Officers responded to Smallwood Drive in Waldorf for the report of the armed robbery of a citizen. Investigation revealed a 24-year-old Waldorf woman and a 22-year-old Indian Head man were walking on Smallwood Drive, east of Copley Avenue, when a suspect exited the wooded area and grabbed the woman and attempted to pull her into the woods. When the man attempted to defend the woman, another suspect struck the man. The first suspect grabbed the woman's purse and brandished a knife. Both suspects then fled the scene on foot eastbound on Smallwood Drive. A K9 unit responded and conducted a search but the suspects were not located. Both suspects are described as black males. The first suspect is about 6 feet tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He is in his late teens, has a thin build and was wearing a white tank top, a black T-shirt around his face, a dark bandanna on his head, dark shorts and white shoes. The other suspect was wearing black clothing and a blue bandanna. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J.
