STRONG ARM ROBBERY: On August 2 at 9:57 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to the parking lot of Safeway at 10 King Street in Waldorf for the report of a strong arm robbery. Investigation revealed a 71-year-old Waldorf man placed his groceries on top of his vehicle when a man approached him and stole his wallet. A struggle ensued and the suspect entered a vehicle driven by a second suspect. The victim continued to try to retrieve his wallet, but the suspects drove away, dragging the victim a short distance. The victim sustained minor abrasions and declined medical treatment. The suspects are described as two black males. The suspect who first approached the man is between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing a red bandanna. The suspects fled in a black two-door car. CITIZEN ARMED ROBBERY: On July 31 at 1:20 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 4300 block of Drake Court in Waldorf for the report of the armed robbery of a citizen. Investigation revealed the victim, a 24-year-old Waldorf man, was walking home when two men approached him, brandished handguns and demanded his shoes and wallet. The victim complied and the men struck him with a handgun. The men fled in a late-model dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu. The suspects are described only as black men. One of them was wearing jeans and a tank top with the words "G Unit" printed on it and the other was wearing all dark clothing.
