On 7/27/2005 Calvert Investigative Team member, Trooper Mike Davis responded to Calvert Memorial Hospital for a reported First Degree Assault. Tpr. Davis learned from the first responding officer, Trooper Brandon Stein that the victim’s ex-boyfriend, Charles Thomas Fleet, a 45 year-old male from St. Leonard, had assaulted her. Fleet picked the victim up at her place of employment and drove her to the Armory Road Self Storage, Prince Frederick, where he assaulted the victim with his hands. Fleet then produced a hypodermic needle and stuck the victim in her leg with the needle.

The victim was transported to Calvert Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. Before officers could locate the vehicle, Fleet intentionally drove his vehicle into the victim’s residence, located in St. Leonard.

The truck driven by Fleet caused substantial damage to the residence’s foundation and porch. Fleet who had cut himself prior to the accident was transported by Maryland State Police Helicopter to Prince George’s County Hospital. Fleet received an additional charge of Malicious Destruction of Property over $500.00. Fleet was treated and released from Prince George’s County Hospital and is currently being held at the Calvert County Detention Center.
