On July 26 at 2:25 a.m., Officer K. Martinez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding on Renner Road near Piney Church Road in Waldorf. Investigation revealed the driver, Michael Jay Buckley Jr., 24, of Waldorf, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Buckley was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and is being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
