On July 18 at 2:5 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Westlake Exxon at 3690 Crain Highway in Waldorf for a hold-up alarm. Investigation revealed a man entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, a 32-year-old La Plata woman. The clerk complied and the man fled the business with an undisclosed amount of money.
A K9 team responded and searched the area but did not locate the suspects. The suspect is described as a dark-complected black male in his mid-30s. He is approximately 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighs approximately 210 pounds and has a moustache. He was wearing a black ball cap, a tan shirt and dark pants.
