K-9 "Bean" Sniffs Out Pot; Ches Beach Man Arrested


On June 28th, 2005 at 11:54 pm, Dfc. Wilson conducted a traffic stop on Woodshire Ave and 13th Street, Chesapeake Beach, Md. Based on observations made during the stop Dfc. Aurich and K-9 “Bean” conducted a search of the vehicle. “Bean” alerted on the passengers side of the vehicle where Dfc. Aurich located an aluminum can that had been converted into a CDS smoking device. The can contained residue from suspected marijuana. A small plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana was located in the area of where the suspect was during the search. The suspect was identified as Keith M. Byrnes, 18 years old of Chesapeake Beach, Md. He was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
