Mechanicsville Father, Son Arrested for Mutual Assault

St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office Deputy Jason Maletto responded to the report of a Domestic Assault between a father and son in Mechanicsville. This was the second time officers responded to the same residence however the first incident was a verbal dispute between the same two (2) individuals. When Deputy Maletto and other officers returned to the residence the investigation revealed there had been a mutual assault between the two (2) parties. Both parties had been consuming alcohol and were arrested, transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with Assault 2nd Degree. The parties are both awaiting a court date in the District Court.
