Stabbing in Lexington Park


On 06-27-05 the Sheriff's office and St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations responded to a reported stabbing occurring at a private residence in Lexington Park, MD. Suspect Angelia Chenelle Williams, 35 YOA of Lexington Park, was determined to have committed the assault on a 28 year old male victim. Contact was made with Williams who refused to exit the residence. Williams was later extricated from the residence by the St. Mary's County Emergency Response Team without further incident. She was transported to the county detention center where she was taken before the district court commissioner and charged with assault first degree and assault second degree. The suspect was later released and is awaiting a trial date.

The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is an investigative team comprised of Detectives from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. The unit was established on July 1, 2003 and is based in Leonardtown, Maryland.
