Drug-Related Arrests in Calvert


CDS Violation

On June 13th, 2005 at 4:00 pm, Deputy M. Jones responded to Hardesty's Store located at 6721 Solomons Island Rd., Sunderland, Md. for a reported CDS Violation. Based on observations made at the scene a search of the area and of a black Jeep Cherokee was conducted. A piece of aluminum foil containing three rocks of suspected crack cocaine was located just behind the Jeep. Kevin M. Makell, 37 years old of St. Leonard, Md. was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

CDS Violation

On June 16th, 2005 at 2:08 pm, Cpl. Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on Geronimo Trail and Lariat Lane, Lusby, Md. A check of the driver revealed he was not licensed to drive. He was issued several citations. A check of the other occupants revealed Renodo D. Pinkney; 21 years old of No Fixed Address had two open arrest warrants. A CDS scan by Dfc. Gregory and K-9 "Robbie" revealed a zip lock baggie containing suspected marijuana. Pinkney told Cpl. Moschetto the suspected marijuana was his. Pinkney was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. He was taken to the Detention Center and processed.

CDS Violation

On June 17th, 2005 at 2:42 pm, Dfc Wilson responded to the 2200 block of Dalrymple Rd., Sunderland, Md for a reported motor vehicle crash. Investigation revealed the three occupant of the vehicle had left the scene shortly after the crash. They were given a ride to a residence on Apple Way in Dunkirk, Md. Dfc Wilson responded to Apple Way and determined, James W. Mockabee, 24 years old of North Beach, Md. was the vehicle operator. He was placed under arrest for leaving the scene of a property damage accident. A search incident to arrest revealed a baggie containing suspected marijuana. He was taken to the Detention Center where he was charged with leaving the scene and possession of CDS.

CDS Violation

On June 18th, 2005 at 4:15 pm, Deputy R. Cox conducted a traffic stop on Md. Rt. 4 in the area of Plum Point Rd., Huntingtown, Md. Based on observations made during the stop, a search was conducted and three baggies containing suspected crack cocaine and a metal non-conventional smocking device were located on the passenger's front seat. A large rock of suspected crack cocaine was located on passenger's side floorboard. There were nine small bags containing suspected crack cocaine found on the rear passenger's side floorboard. Several non-conventional smoking devices were located through out the car. Susan G. York, 48 years old of Huntingtown, Md. and David A. Augustus, 55 years old of North Beach, Md. were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where they were charged with Possession of CDS with the intent to distribute.

CDS Violation

On June 18th, 2005 at 5:11 pm, Deputy P. Wood conducted a traffic stop on Rt 260 in the area of Cox Road, Chesapeake Beach, Md. He detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and occupant revealed a partially burnt hand rolled cigarette containing suspected marijuana. And a baggie containing suspected marijuana. Steven J. Mason Jr., 30 years old of Fort Washington, Md. and Roshad C. Leath, 25 years old of Fort Washington, Md. were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where they were charged with possession of CDS.
