22 y/o Man Cuts Mom w/Knife; Charged with Attempted Murder

On June 14 at 8:43 a.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Charles Place in Indian Head for a stabbing report. Investigation revealed a 22-year-old Indian Head man assaulted his 41-year-old mother and cut her with a knife. Officers quickly arrived on the scene and arrested the man without incident. The man is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder, First- and Second- Degree Assault and Possession of a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Injure. He is being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond. The woman was transported by ambulance to Civista Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Officer W. Halt investigated.
