On June 11 at 3:18 a.m., a resident of a home in the 3600 block of Fox Hall Place in White Plains awoke to the sound of his garage door opening. The victim checked and found suspect(s) had opened the victim's garage using the victim's electronic garage door opener. The door opener was stolen from the victim's unsecured vehicle that was parked outside the garage.
The victim advised that the motion sensor light on the rear of his residence had been activated indicating that the suspect(s) may have fled toward High Grove. The suspects did not steal any property from the victim's garage. A K9 team responded an conducted a track but did not locate the suspect(s).
As patrol officers investigated the incident further, they discovered the suspect(s) had entered several other vehicles in the 3600 block of Fox Hall Place. The suspects did not damage any of the vehicles and only entered vehicles that were unlocked. They appeared to be looking for garage door openers, but only the first victim's garage door opener was reported stolen. Anyone with information about the Fox Hall Place incident is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 301-743-2222. Officer J. Williams is investigating.
