CDS Violation
On June 8th, 2005 at 4:16 pm, Cpl. Fridman and Trooper Esposito conducted a traffic stop on Thunderbird Drive in the area of Lariat Lane, Lusby, Md. Cpl. Fridman detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car. Investigation revealed a non-conventional smoking device containing suspected marijuana. Susan R. Spencer, 20 years old of Lusby, Md. was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center where she was charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
CDS Violation
On June 9th, 2005 at 11:27 pm, Dfc Wilson conducted a traffic stop on Bay Ave in the area of 3rd St., North Beach, Md. The driver Douglas J. Kuhn, 35 years old of West Hempstead, New York was arrested for DUI. A search of the vehicle incident to arrest revealed five hand rolled cigarettes containing suspected marijuana, three zip lock bags containing suspected marijuana, 20 and a half pink pills suspected percocet and 10 white pills suspected oxycontin. Based on the amount of CDS found, Kuhn and the vehicle passenger, Sharon L. Guerin, 25 years old of Collensville, Va. were transported to the Detention Center and charged with possession of CDS with the intent to distribute.
Possession of CDS
On June 10th, 2005 at 8:35 pm, Deputy Carter was in the area of the Bayside Forest community pool where observed two suspicious vehicles. He approached the vehicles and detected the odor of burnt marijuana. A search of the suspects and area around them revealed suspected marijuana and suspected cocaine. Jonathan R. Valentine 21 years old of Huntingtown, Md was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana. Micah W. Jones, 22 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine.
CDS Violation
On June 10th, 2005 at 11:46 pm, Deputy Ward responded to the intersection of H.G. Truman Road and Dowell Road for a vehicle off the roadway. Investigation revealed the operator of the truck was DUI and in possession of CDS, cocaine and in possession of CDS paraphernalia. The passenger was also found to be in possession of CDS cocaine and CDS paraphernalia. The driver, Charles B. Snyder Jr., 38 years old of Lusby was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia and DUI. The passenger, Ronald C. Thacker 39 years old of Lusby, Md. was arrested and charged with possession of CDS and possession of paraphernalia.
