On June 1 at 12:39 a.m., Officer A. Schwab conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 9300 block of Crain Highway in Bel Alton for suspicious activity. Officer Schwab observed drug paraphernalia inside. A search of the vehicle revealed the occupants were in possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The occupants - Joseph Wayne Gross Jr., 18, of La Plata and Andrea Charad Lee, 20, of Bel Alton - were charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. They are being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending appearances before the District Court Commissioner.
