On June 1 at 10:15 p.m., Charles County Sheriff's officers responded to Hunts Tavern at 6520 Bensville Road in Pomfret for the report of a fight. Investigation revealed two suspects known only as "Dave" and "Lil Paul" assaulted a father and son - both La Plata men, ages 60 and 35. The son sustained facial injuries and was transported to Civista Medical Center. The suspects fled prior to officers' arrival. Witnesses did not provide any additional information regarding the description of the suspects.
