During the past several days, deputies from the St. Mary's County Sheriff's office rounded up several people who were wanted on outstanding warrants.
Warrant Service
On 05/31/05 Deputy S. Moses located Juan L. Briscoe, 45, College Park, Maryland in Lexington Park and arrested him on a Escape Re-take Warrant issued after Mr. Briscoe failed to return to Work Release. Mr. Briscoe was returned to the Detention Center and charged with Escape From Confinement.
Fugitive Arrest
On 05/31/05 Deputy M. Pesante arrested James D. Scott, 36, California, Maryland and charged him as a Fugitive from Justice. Mr. Scott was wanted on an outstanding Warrant for Violation of Probation in Brevard County, Florida. Mr. Scott was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an extradition hearing.
Warrant Service
on 6/1/05 Dfc. K. Roberts located and arrested Joseph C. Harrod, 44, Lexington Park, Maryland in Lexington Park on a Warrant for Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree, and Malicious Destruction of Property under $500. Mr. Harrod was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
Warrant Service
On 6/1/05 Dfc. E. Trossbach located and arrested Charles S. Bowles Jr., 37, Mechanicsville, Maryland on a Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court on an Assault 1st Degree Charge. Mr. Bowles was incarcerated in the Detention Center under No Bond.
Warrant Service/ Controlled Dangerous Substance
On 6/1/05 Dfc. J. Molitor located and arrested Jamie L. Watson, 23, Lexington Park, Maryland in Lexington Park, Maryland on a Charles County Warrant for Harassment. A search incident to the arrest resulted in the discovery of Cocaine. Ms. Watson was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
