Lexington Park McDonalds Blockade Foiled, More...


On 05/22/05 DFC Eric S. Walker responded to McDonalds, Rt. 246 in Lexington Park for a disorderly complaint. Upon arrival he discovered that Elmer Fernanders, 52 of Lexington Park was creating a disturbance and blocking the free passage of the patrons to McDonalds. After several requests to move on, which he refused, Fernanders was arrested and charged with Disturbance of the Public Peace and Hindering the Free Passage. He was incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

On 05/25/05 Deputy Terry Kile arrested Rodney Delray Taylor, 39 of Leonardtown on an outstanding warrant. The warrant was obtained by DFC Patrick Handy following an investigation into a robbery and assault that occurred on 05/08/05. The investigation revealed that Brian James Popielski was assaulted and robbed of US Currency and a cellular telephone as he was returning to his vehicle on Stephen Young Court after dropping off a friend. DFC Handy's investigation led to the obtaining of the arrest warrant for Rodney Taylor who was charged with Robbery Strong Arm, Theft under $100 and Assault 2nd degree.
