The Board of Commissioners for St. Mary's County and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services are pleased to announce that the sprayground at Nicolet Park will open for the 2005 season at noon on Monday, May 23, 2005.
The water sprayground is designed for children ages 2 through 12; all children age 8 and under must be accompanied/supervised by a parent or guardian at least 13 years of age. The facility will be supervised by staff during normal hours of operation. The facility includes various components which spray water randomly * all designed to "beat the summer heat." The facility has a zero depth entry on a "poured-in-place" rubber play surface and is ADA accessible. The sprayground has nearly 1,200 square feet of play area and uses re-circulated, chemically treated water.
The hours of operation are from 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. each day. Admission fees are: daily admission - $1 per person; individual season pass - $20 per person; and family season pass - $50. Also, the sprayground and nearby shaded pavilion may be reserved for children's parties. The cost for party rental is $60 for one hour for up to 50 people, and $100 for two hours for up to 50 people.
The sprayground is located at Nicolet Park at 21777 Bunker Hill Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland. To reach the Sprayground from Route 235 in Lexington Park, turn right onto Great Mills Road (Route 246), then turn right onto Midway Drive across from CVS Pharmacy, then turn right onto Bunker Hill Drive to Nicolet Park; from Route 5 in Great Mills, turn left onto Great Mills Road, turn left onto Midway Drive, then turn right onto Bunker Hill Drive to Nicolet Park.
