Sheriff's Office Deputy Angela Muller responded to Point Lookout Road in the area of Pennie's bar for the reported motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival contact was made with Patricia Robinson (33 years old of Lusby) and identified her as the operator of the at fault vehicle. Deputy Muller detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her breath and she displayed outward signs of intoxication. Suspect Robinson failed the roadside tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Deputies John W. Cusic and William J. Rishel responded to a call for a disorderly subject in a Lexington Park residence. The intoxicated Suspect was identified as Alvin Leroy Goins (50 years of age of no fixed address) and he continued to act disorderly and shout profanities. After failing to cease these actions he was arrested and charged accordingly.
Sheriff's Office Deputy Harold D. Young located and charged Stephen Brumback Huffman for Harassment. The various acts of harassment stem from a former relationship with the undisclosed Victim. Suspect Huffman is released awaiting a Preliminary Hearing Date.
Deputy First Class Richard W. Russell responded to the Target Store for a reported Property Destruction. Upon arrival he met with Off Duty Officer Cara D. Grumbles who was detaining a female subject. It was found that the Suspect, Latosha Ann Baker (age 20 of Lexington Park) entered the store and utilized a can of pepper spray to spray items that were for sale. The property (several handbags valued at nearly $70.00) was deemed destroyed and not able to be sold. The Suspect was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center to await a bond review.
Deputies Kevin D. Somerville and Shawn Moses responded to the Great Mills Sheetz for the reported theft. Further investigation revealed that a juvenile employee did, on several occasions, steal money from the cash register in an amount totaling more than $500.00. The juvenile was arrested and charged with three (3) counts of theft and one (1) count of theft scheme over $500.00. She was released to the custody of her parent/guardian.
Sheriff's Office Deputy W. Daniel Ray responded to a call for a domestic assault in the Park Hall area. Upon arrival he made contact with the victim, Jennifer Shirley and noted that there was severe swelling to her face and head. Investigation revealed that Victim Shirley and her live in boyfriend, Matthew Frazier had been involved in a domestic dispute that became physical. Suspect Frazier (23 years old) stuck the victim with a telephone. Suspect Frazier was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center to await a bond review.
