The Charles County Sheriff's Office announces new dates have been set for Cops & Lobsters, the annual fund-raising event for Special Olympics Maryland that was canceled earlier in April. The new days are Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14.
During Cops & Lobsters, employees of the Sheriff's Office wait tables and help prepare meals at Red Lobster in Waldorf to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland. The Sheriff's Office will serve lunch at 11 a.m. and dinner at 4 p.m. both days. All tips and donations will benefit Special Olympics Maryland.
"Cops & Lobsters is a fun community event that serves a very worthy organization," said Charles County Sheriff Frederick E. Davis. "I am very grateful to Red Lobster for enabling us to continue this wonderful fund-raiser."
Businesses are also invited to participate in the event. Any business owner who donates $100 to Special Olympics will have his or her business' name and telephone number on the Golden Support of Special Olympics Maryland bulletin board, which will hang in the Red Lobster lobby for a month after the event.
