On April 26 at 2:29 p.m., a 74-year-old Waldorf man was in his vehicle stopped on Mattawoman Drive attempting to make a left turn onto Pinefield Road in Waldorf when a man entered his vehicle. The victim continued onto Pinefield Road and at the intersection of Pinewood Drive, told the suspect to exit the vehicle. The suspect then told the victim he was a "federal agent" and needed to see the victim's drivers license. The victim took his wallet out and the suspect stole money and fled the vehicle toward Pinefield Park. A K9 team responded and conducted a search but the suspect was not located. The victim was not injured. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Charles County Sheriff's Office at 301-932-7777. Officer J. Walter is investigating.
