Calvert Drug Bust Nets Several Arrests


A two month long investigation by the Calvert Investigative Teams Drug Enforcement Unit, comprised of Calvert County Deputies and Maryland State Troopers, targeted the residence at 4706 Allen Earlie Road, Prince Frederick, Md. The investigation focused on the illegal distribution of a controlled dangerous substance concluded on April 13th, 2005.

On April 13th, 2005 a Buy-Bust operation involving the distribution of suspected crack cocaine to an undercover narcotics officer led to the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of 3.3 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 4.3 grams of suspected marijuana, and $129.00 in cash.

The following were arrested as a result of the operation:

Tyrone L. Savoy, 23 years of No Fixed Address, Charged with Distribution of CDS and Possession of CDS

Lakeisha D. Savoy, 18 years old of Waldorf, Md. Charged with Distubution of CDS, Conspiracy to Distribute CDS, Possession with intent to Distribute CDS, Possession of CDS

Simultaneous with the Buy-Bust operation, a search and seizure warrant was executed at 4706 Allen Earlie Road, Prince Frederick, Md. The Calvert County Sheriffs Office Special Operations Team made entry into the residence and secured the scene. A search of the residence was conducted. 8.7 grams of suspected marijuana and numerous non-conventional smoking devices containing suspected crack cocaine residue were discovered. As a result of the search and seizure warrant, the following were arrested.

Ernestine L. Savoy, 39 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. was charged with, Possession with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of CDS, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

Robert F. Miller, 41 years old of Prince Frederick, Md., was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

Cherrikka M. Ford, 22 years old of Lexington Park, Md., was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

William E. Smith Jr., 41 years old of Brandywine, Md., was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia.

Lewis D. Pinkney Jr. 49 years old of Brandywine, Md. was charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of Paraphernalia.

All of the suspects were transported to the Calvert County Detention for processing and were held pending an appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
