Senator Mikulski Shares Thoughts After Attending Funeral Of Pope John Paul II


Senator Barbara Mikulski recorded a message today after attending this morning's funeral of Pope John Paul II. In the message, recorded on the plane bound for the U.S., Senator Mikulski shares her thoughts and observations on the funeral and what the Pope has meant to the world.

Senator Mikulski traveled to Vatican City as part of the American delegation for the funeral of Pope John Paul II. Senator Mikulski has met the Pope several times, including in Baltimore when he was Bishop of Krakow and at the White House. Senator Mikulski was at his investiture in 1978 and presented him with the Congressional Gold Medal in 2001.
