On February 4th, 2005, the Office of the Sheriff of St. Mary’s County in conjunction with the Department on Aging, the Leonardtown Rotary Club, St. Mary’s Hospital and others, kicked off fundraising efforts to commence a Project Lifesaver Program in St. Mary’s County. The initial Project Lifesaver goal was set at $10,000. Since that time, $9,650 n contributions has been raised from the kind and generous support of the local community and business organizations.
