Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Lexington Park; More...


Stolen/Recovered Motor Vehicle with Arrest

On 3/30/05 Victim Bowers reported her 2002 Dodge Intrepid stolen from in front of her residence. Patrol officers observed the vehicle approximately 10 minutes later at the Wawa Store on Great Mill's Road. Dfc. Reppell, Dfc. Earle, and Cpl. Shoemaker continued surveillance of the vehicle at which time a 15 year old Juvenile exited the Wawa Store and entered the vehicle. The Juvenile was subsequently taken into custody without incident. Investigation revealed the juvenile used a screwdriver to gain entry to the vehicle then used a brick to break off the ignition. The juvenile then used the screw driver to start the vehicle. The juvenile stated he stole the car to drive to school then after school was going to take it to Washington D.C. and sell the vehicle. The juvenile was charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Property Destruction, Driving Without a License, and taken to Juvenile Authorities at Circuit Court pending disposition.

Multiple Violations

On 03/29/05 Dfc. Kirkner located Richard R. Moore, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland in the area of Great Mill's, Maryland on a District Court warrant charging Mr. Moore with Possession of Marijuana, Assault 2nd Degree, and a Fourth Degree Sex Offense. Mr. Moore was incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.

Warrant Service

On 03/29/05 Dfc. R. Maloy located Sandra M. Norris of Lexington Park, Maryland and served an District Court Bench Warrant on her for Failing to Appear in Court on 3/23/05. Ms. Norris was incarcerated in the Detention Center under a $3,500 bond.

Recovered Stolen Motor Vehicle

On 3/29/05 Deputy J, Logalbo located a reported Stolen Motor Vehicle on Laurel Glen Rd. in California, Maryland. The vehicle had been reported stolen on 02/20/05 from Great Mill's. The stolen vehicle was processed by Crime Lab Tech Shoemaker and released back to the owner.

Theft Under $500

On 3/29/05 Mr. Dane Kramer reported sometime during the night unknown culprit(s) removed the tailgate from his 1995 Ford Ranger while the vehicle was parked in his driveway. Loss is valued at $200.

Warrant Service

On 3/29/05 Dfc. J. Somerville located a 16 year old juvenile in Leonardtown who was wanted on a Juvenile Retake Warrant. The juvenile was taken into custody and transported to Waxter's Childrens Center by the Corrections Division pending an appearance before the Circuit Court.

Theft Under $500

On 03/29/05 Dfc. Somar Clark responded to the Fairfield Inn for the reported theft. Upon arrival Dfc. Clark observed individuals carrying a tire across the parking lot. Investigation by Dfc. Clark revealed Uriah L. Goforth, 18, Of Washington D.C. and a 17 year old Juvenile from Washington, D.C. had stolen the tire from a motor vehicle in the parking lot and was attempting to put the tire on their vehicle which was parked in Valley Drive Estates. Both Suspects were placed under arrest. Mr. Goforth was charged with Theft and incarcerated in the Detention Center pending an appearance before the District Court Commissioner. The Juvenile was charged with Theft and released pending an appearance in Circuit Court.

Warrant Service

On 3/30/05 Corporal J. Shoemaker served Mark W. Williams, 37, of Lexington Park, Maryland with a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failing to Appear in Court on 03/28/05. Mr. Williams was incarcerated in the Detention Center under No Bond.
