On 03/20/05 Deputy Terry Kile received a radio broadcast from the ECC of a theft that just occurred at Hanover Drive south of Leonardtown. A description of the vehicle was given and the items stolen were 2x4s. As he was responding Deputy Kile observed the vehicle pulling into Academy Hills, the vehicle was stopped and the driver was identified as David Paul Fitzgerald, 39 of Hughesville, Md. Deputy Kile's investigation revealed Fitzgerald had stolen 10 2x4s's from a job site in Hanover Farms Estates for a job he was working on in Academy Hills. Fitzgerald was placed under arrest for Theft under $100.00. A search incident to his arrest revealed he had a plastic pill container which contained 4 individually packaged bags of marijuana, valued at $40.00. A license check also revealed his privilege to drive in the State of Maryland was suspended. Fitzgerald was charged with Theft Under $100.00, Driving while suspended, Possession of CDS-Marijuana.
On 02/21/05 Deputy Eva Snyder responded to the Super 8 Motel for a reported domestic assault. She made contact with Nicole Anne Kelly who advised that her boy friend Nick Charles Moy Sr. had and her had been in an argument as a result of the argument he grabbed her and slammed her into the wall and punched her in the face several times. Victim Kelly showed signs of assault. Deputy Snyder located the suspect, Nick Moy. After completing her investigation Deputy Snyder arrested Nick Charles Moy Sr., 41, no fixed address, and charged him with Assault 2nd degree. He was incarcerated pending a bond hearing in front the District Court Judge.
