Sheriff David D. Zylak extends an invitation to the residents of St. Mary’s County to attend a presentation of the “first” St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Strategic Management Plan. It is essential members of the community are knowledgeable of the critical issues facing the Sheriff’s Office of St. Mary’s County. DETAILS: In July of 2004, a Strategic Management Plan (SMP) Core Team Committee was formed to develop a fully usable strategic planning document would address goal achievement and critical issues facing the Sheriff’s Office. The team was fully committed to producing a strategic document and quickly discovered that strategic planning was not a passive exercise, but a dynamic interaction of stakeholders to ensure the success of the Sheriff’s Office mission. The Strategic Management Plan will serve as a management tool and as supportive documentation linked to our budget.
