Calvert County Police Blotter for Week Ending March 6, 2005


2nd Degree Assault

On March 1st, 2005 at 2:29 am, Deputy Ward responded to the 600 block of Sollers Wharf Rd., Lusby, Md. for a reported assault. Investigation revealed Kenneth M. Gheen, 23 years old of Lusby, Md. assaulted the victim. Based on observations made at the scene and witness statements, he was placed under arrest and charged with 2nd degree assault. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.


Driving While Suspended

On March 2nd, 2005 at 12:41 am, member of the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Md. Rt. 2/4 in the area of German Chapel Rd. Prince Frederick, Md. A check of the tags revealed they where reported stolen from Central Chevrolet-Buick, Sanford, North Carolina. A check of the operator’s driver license revealed he was suspended in Maryland. Nolan A. Roy, 20 years old of Lusby, Md. was placed under arrest by Dfc. Foote and charged with Driving While Suspended, Operating an unregistered vehicle and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Charges are pending on the theft.

Burglary

On March 2nd, 2005 at 11:14 pm, Deputy Ward responded to the 11000 block of Blue Point Court Lusby, Md. for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) shattered a glass door leading to the basement. It appears the unknown suspect(s) when through the house however, nothing was reported missing. There are no suspects at this time.

CDS Violation

On March 2nd, 2005 at 11:20 pm, Cpl. Moschetto conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Westlake Drive Prince Frederick, Md. Based on observation made during the stop the operator, Jessica L. Hartley 25 years old of Owings, Md. was placed under arrest for DUI, a search of the vehicle was conducted. The search revealed two plastic baggies containing suspected marijuana and a non-conventional smoking device. She was transported to the Detention Center where she was charged with DUI and possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia.


Theft

On March 3rd, 2005 at 10:14 am, Deputy Gatton responded to the 900 block of Childress Trail Lusby, Md. for a reported theft. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) removed the wheels and tires from the victim’s 1996 Honda. The vehicle was parked in her driveway and the theft occurred in the nighttime hours. There are no suspects at this time.
